Death of Autotune - THE ALBUM

JAN29

This album is the best. I gotta admit though, I couldn't listen to more than one verse of most of the songs (with the exception of "Simon Says", in which Roger Riley - or Teddy Troutman - exhibited a more spirited performance than the other songs, hahahahaha "Tittayzzz!").

Other standout performances are: Phife on "Electric Relaxation" and some of the intro ad libs, such as on "One More Chance" they "sing", "This is crossing the line.... we might even go to hell for this one...." or the beginning of "Elevators", "You got to hate us by nowww..."

This is definitely a, grab-your-homies-and-spend-half-an-hour-cracking-up, type activity. You might even find yourself thinking, "Hey, this one actually sounds pretty good with auto-tune!" All I know is, after hearing Dre & Snoop auto-tuned for a joke, next time I hear it used for real on the fucking radio or whatever... I WILL AUTOMATICALLY HATE THAT ARTIST.

Shit is dead. Played out like a motherfucker. And I never really minded it either.

808s & Heartbreak is the last one. No more. Dudes killed it. And for the record, dancehall artists like Devonte have been using it back when T-Pain was still selling fish with his pops at the side of the road in Tallahasse which was around 2001.
