Ludacris (kinda) featuring the P4P baddest boxer on the planet Floyd "Money" Mayweather! The best part about this song is that Floyd is not rapping. He is giving the pep talk/talking shit between rounds, or in this case verses, which is good because now I can take this song serious. I'm not sure if I would call Luda the "Undisputed" (a champion, but not undisputed), but Mayweather most definitely is.
For boxing fans everywhere it is a sad day. Money Mayweather was the P4P baddest man in boxing, was at the peak of his career, and was on the verge of another mega fight with Oscar De La Hoya. He's spoke about retirement before but only to come back and fight again, but this time around I believe him. Mainly because he has called off a multi million dollar pay day with De La Hoya and NOBODY walks away from that kind of money unless they are serious (see Dave Chappelle). The biggest disappointment is that there are fights out there that would have cemented Mayweather's legacy as maybe the greatest boxer ever, but we will never know. I guess Money wanted no part of Miguel Cotto. It does say alot about the man Floyd Mayweather Jr. for him to retire on his own terms and walk away from that kind of money. Below is the statement that Mayweather Jr. released to media today.
Dear Media:
It is with a heavy heart that I write you this message today. I have decided to permanently retire from boxing. This decision was not an easy one for me to make as boxing is all I have done since I was a child. However, these past few years have been extremely difficult for me to find the desire and joy to continue in the sport. I have said numerous times and after several of my fights over the past two years that I might not fight again. At the same time, I loved competing and winning and also wanted to continue my career for the fans, knowing they were there for me and enjoyed watching me fight. However, after many sleepless nights and intense soul-searching I realized I could no longer base my decision on anything but my own personal happiness, which I no longer could find. So I have finally made up my mind, spoken to my family, particularly my mother, and made my decision. I am sorry I have to leave the sport at this time, knowing I still have my God-given abilities to succeed and future multi-million dollar paydays ahead, including the one right around the corner. But there comes a time when money doesn't matter. I just can't do it anymore. I have found a peace with my decision that I have not felt in a long time. Finally, I want to personally thank all of my fans for their loyalty and dedication as my career comes to a close. I always believed that their enthusiasm and support helped carry me to victory with every fight I ever had. It was a great joy to have fought for all of you. Now I hope you understand my decision and wish me well with the rest of my life.
It's been forever since wrestling was worth watching... it was cool in the 80's when Hulkamania was running wild, it was best in the mid 90's when Paul Heyman's ECW was in it's heyday and their wrestlers were putting each other through flaming tables in barbed wire matches, and it was pretty good when Steve Austin was giving everybody the middle finger and The Rock was laying the smack down on your candy asses. But wrestling REALLY sucks now... same shit, different dudes.
Even though this has gimmick written all over it, when Floyd Mayweather get's in the ring I'll watch. Even if it's fake wrestling... uh, I mean pre determined sports entertainment. This is the whole match so you'll have to spend about 20 minutes of your life but it's worth while if you into it.
And, if you are saying to yourself "what the hell is ECW?" then peep this video. I know wrestling isn't real, but this shit is as close to real as fake can get - long live Extreme Championship Wrestling. ECW! ECW!
