The excuse for today's Dr. Dre treat is because the good Doctor has finally spoke about his upcoming album Detox and he dropped a few nuggets of info that makes me think Detox might actually exist. In today's USA Today Dre had this to say about Detox...
"I’m just now — over the last couple of months — starting to feel that it’s going to be right and it’s something I can be proud of, and everybody is going to love it."
"In a perfect world, I’m shooting for a November or December release."
"We have an entirely new thing going with the drums that’s incredible, and we’re still developing that."
"I’m going to put this record out, promote it, tour and then become a hermit. I’m going to stay in the studio and produce."
Dre also goes on to say that the "usual suspects” will make guest appearances, including Nas, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne.
Now, on to the treats. In the past we've posted Dr. Dre's "U Got Ganked" mixtape, Eazy-E & Dr. Dre's "Live At The Rodium Swapmeet" mixtape, and N.W.A.'s "Live At Celebrity Arena" concert from 1989. This is pretty much the last of the mid 80's Dr. Dre mixtapes/megamixes that I have so enjoy. This is the no cassette tape hiss version that I haven't seen around Internetland yet. Enjoy!
